Parent-approved videos
Parents choose the YouTube video used in a meal session. Chompy stores only the approved video ID locally on the device.
Parent-operated mealtime support
Chompy helps parents run supervised meal sessions with on-device chewing detection and parent-approved YouTube playback.
How Chompy works
The app uses the front camera to detect chewing on the device, then uses that signal to play or pause a parent-approved meal video.
Parents choose the YouTube video used in a meal session. Chompy stores only the approved video ID locally on the device.
Camera frames, face landmarks, ARKit blend shapes, and face embeddings are not stored or sent outside the device by Chompy.
The meal video can play while chewing is detected and pause after a no-chew timeout during a supervised session.
Privacy first
If enabled, diagnostics do not include camera frames, face data, raw chewing measurements, PINs, or video information.
Chompy is a mealtime assistant for parents and caregivers. It is not a medical device or feeding therapy tool.
